About 70,000 new titles are acquired and catalogued into the collection each year, and copies are made available by NTIS in paper or microform. The NTIS Bibliographic data file (on magnetic tape) is available for lease. The computer products of other Federal agencies also are sold or leased by NTIS. The FedWorld Information Network offers access to an increasing range of government information sources, including gateways that connect users with more than 300 U.S. government on-line systems and thousands of U.S. government files, documents and databases. The Government Information Locator Service simplifies the information-retrieving process by searching and identifying public information resources throughout the Federal Government. A comprehensive catalog of information is available and can be obtained by leasing our database through a variety of commercial vendors. A standing order microfiche service, Selected Research in Microfiche (SRIM), automatically provides subscribers with the full text of research reports specially selected to satisfy individual requirements. In addition to videotapes, NAC offers materials produced in slide sets and multimedia kits. Subjects include safety and health, law enforcement, fire and medical training, foreign languages, natural resources, drug abuse prevention, science, and history. Additionally, NAC offers many indispensable- training materials on a variety of topics. Utilization of foreign technological and scientific advances is made available within the U.S. industrial sector by collecting, translating, and disseminating scientific and technical information originating outside the U.S. The NTIS Electronic Media Services Division supports other Federal agency clients in meeting their information needs by assisting them in creating and producing customized multimedia CD-ROM, document conversion, and magnetic media.
